((Shiv worked as an Resident Advisor for a SG called The Teen Phalanx for about six months. For a variety of reason, I decided to move on from the group and start my own, The Warwyck Initiative. This bit kicked off Shiv's goodbyes to the teens under her care.))
Siobhan took down the painting Keon had painted for her. She smiled as the dramatic pose. Idealize and triumphant, she stands on a precipice, sword in hand. She could say it started with that mission, rescuing his sister. Shiv knew it had really started much earlier. With a sigh, she turned to the bookshelves and started packing the few remaining tomes away.
At one time, she thought this would be her home. This office that Insu had crafted for her had seen its fair share of magic and conversation. It had observed many stories. She had hoped that this room would bear witness to the stories of her life. Picking up a few of the trinkets given to her by other dorm residents reminded her that the stories of her life would take her away from here.
What she needed to do, what she needed to do to protect her family, could not include children. It couldn't include most teenagers either, she thought with a smile. She had reached out to a few. They would help her. Together, they would protect her family and Paragon City in ways Teen Phalanx could not.
Siobhan directed Tristan and Jacek towards a couple of boxes. It wasn't that there was anything wrong with the Teen Phalanx. It served a different purpose than what Siobhan needed now. The Teen Phalanx had gathered, trained, and honed a generation of heroes. Shiv didn't need heroes, now. She needed something else.
She had given that same letter of resignation to Macy. This time there had been no discussion.
Siobhan took one last look around the now empty office, removing the wards with a small effort of will. The remaining protective spells around The Dorms would last a long time. No sense in preventing anyone else from using this office.
With a weak smile she turned off the lights, and walked away.
