First class comes as a shock to many, the comfort, the pampering, the free drinks. Slipping into his restaurateur's skin, Chance worked with the flight attendance to deliver special treats and comforts to the cabin, helping to shorten the fifteen hour flight. You may notice a slightly apologetic air to his actions, making up for doubt about getting together so many to help with what must seem to them as a minor task.
Notwithstanding his downplayed connections in Japan, Chance's knowledge of Narita International Airport led to a smooth passage through customs and immigration. They met Roz with a scotch in one hand, a newspaper in the other, pacing the first class arrival lounge.
At 168 cm, the well-dressed. buxom, blonde woman stood out among the mostly male, mostly Japanese crowd. Her smile exposed a beautiful collection of white teeth in a mouth slightly too large for her face. "Chancy!" The two embraced with the comfort of old friends, surprising a few of the more stoic patrons.
"Everyone," Chance announced, "this is Roz Fordyce. She works for the British Embassy in Tokyo. She helped me with arrangements for this trip."
"I've known him since he was this tall," Roz told everyone, gesturing, and raising a blush in Chance's cheeks. "Roz interned for my father," Chance explained, "when he was assigned to Japan by the State Department."
"How do we look?" He asked.
"Everyone's luggage's been forwarded to the Keio and I picked up the rail passes, but…" she held out the newspaper, "I think you should see this. It broke this morning's Asahi. It's causing quite a ruckus. I hear the reporter's going to be sacked. He didn’t talk to the police about the 'anonymous source.' The TMPD's throwing a paddy."
Chance accepted the newspaper. He read the article before passing it back to the others.

He gave them a moment to digest the information. "Any thoughts?"
